Privacy Policy

This policy explains what RandomPokemon.net stores in your browser, what analytics and advertising services may collect, when information can be shared with third parties, and the choices available to you.

Last updated: August 8, 2026

1. Scope and the short version

RandomPokemon.net is an independent, fan-made collection of Pokémon generators, calculators, reference pages, and browser games. Most interactive features do not require an account. Many tool settings, recent results, game progress, and preferences are kept in your own browser so that a page can recover after a refresh.

We also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and the site includes Google AdSense code. Advertising services may use cookies or other identifiers to measure, limit, personalize, or report advertising where permitted. Third-party services can therefore receive technical information when your browser requests their resources.

We do not ask you to create a RandomPokemon.net account. The site does not provide a profile form that asks for your name, phone number, home address, or payment card details. If you contact us at [email protected], your email provider and our email provider may process the message content and standard delivery metadata needed to send and receive the email.

2. Analytics information

RandomPokemon.net uses Google Analytics 4 to measure site usage. Analytics may process information such as the pages you visit, approximate device and browser characteristics, referrer information, general geographic signals derived from network information, interaction events, and timestamps. The site currently uses Google Analytics measurement ID G-XYR6PGFQKE.

We use aggregate analytics to understand which tools are useful, identify broken or confusing experiences, measure performance, and decide which pages need maintenance. We do not intentionally send email addresses, phone numbers, or other directly identifying values to Google Analytics as event parameters.

Google may process analytics data under its own policies and technical controls. Browser privacy settings, consent choices, content blockers, or other tools may prevent some analytics requests from running.

3. Google AdSense, third-party advertising, and cookies

RandomPokemon.net uses Google AdSense and may display advertising after the site is approved and eligible to serve ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to RandomPokemon.net or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Other third-party advertising vendors or ad networks may also use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar identifiers when their advertising technology is used on this site. Those vendors operate under their own privacy policies and controls. We do not control the contents of third-party cookies or the data practices of an advertising provider after information is transmitted to that provider.

You can review or change Google personalized advertising choices through Google Ads Settings. You can also learn about opt-out choices for some participating advertising companies at AboutAds. Availability and effect of these controls can vary by region, browser, and provider.

We do not ask visitors to click advertisements, and advertisements are not intended to be a condition for using the site’s core content or tools.

5. Browser-local storage and game state

Several tools use localStorage or sessionStorage. Examples include saved generator history, favorite-picking progress, Wordle-style game state, comparison selections, team-planning data, PWA installation prompts, recent Pokédex items, and temporary preferences. This information normally stays in the browser profile where it was created and is used to restore the interface or continue a task.

Local storage is not the same as a RandomPokemon.net cloud account. Clearing site data, using private browsing, changing browsers, switching profiles, or moving to another device can remove or isolate those saved states. Some pages provide copy, CSV, text, PNG, or URL-sharing features so that you can intentionally move a result elsewhere.

Where a tool fetches public Pokémon data and temporarily caches it in your browser, that cache is used to improve reliability or reduce repeat network requests. It is not intended as a user identity record.

7. Third-party services and external requests

The site relies on third-party infrastructure and data sources. Depending on the page, your browser may communicate with services operated by Google for analytics or advertising, with hosting or content-delivery infrastructure, or with public Pokémon data and asset sources. Some game-data features use PokeAPI-derived information, and certain route tools can request PokeAPI data before processing it locally.

External links may take you to websites that we do not operate. Their privacy practices, cookies, security, and content are controlled by those operators. Following an external link does not make that site part of RandomPokemon.net.

8. Location, children, and sensitive information

RandomPokemon.net does not intentionally request browser geolocation or ask visitors to submit precise GPS coordinates. General location can still be inferred by analytics or advertising providers from network information such as an IP address, subject to their settings and applicable law.

The site is a general-audience fan utility and is not designed as a child-directed account service. We do not intentionally build advertising audiences from sensitive categories such as health conditions, religion, sexual orientation, or other highly sensitive personal information. Please do not submit sensitive personal information through share links, exports, or support emails unless it is necessary to resolve your request.

9. Retention and security

Browser-local state lasts until the relevant tool replaces it, its own retention logic removes it, or you clear site data. Third-party analytics, advertising, hosting, and infrastructure providers apply their own retention schedules. We keep only the operational information available to us for as long as reasonably useful for site security, diagnostics, aggregate measurement, or legal compliance.

No website can guarantee perfect security. We reduce unnecessary exposure by keeping many tool states local to the browser and by avoiding an account database for ordinary generator use, but network requests and third-party services still carry normal Internet security risks.

10. Your choices

  • Use browser controls to clear or block cookies and site storage.
  • Use the consent message shown for your region, when available, to manage eligible advertising and analytics choices.
  • Use Google Ads Settings or participating-industry opt-out tools for personalized advertising choices.
  • Avoid sharing URLs or exported results that contain information you do not want others to see.
  • Use privacy or content-blocking tools, understanding that they may affect site features, analytics, or advertisements.

11. Policy changes and contact

We may update this policy when site features, advertising services, analytics behavior, legal requirements, or data practices materially change. The “Last updated” date at the top identifies the current version.

For privacy questions, suspected data leaks, or incorrect statements in this policy, email [email protected] or use the guidance on the Contact page. Please do not send passwords, payment data, government identifiers, private keys, authentication cookies, or other credentials.
