Practical workflow
Start with the roster, not the details. Add the Pokemon you genuinely want to use, even when the first draft is imperfect. The point of the workspace is to expose the tradeoffs that are hard to notice when six ideas live in separate tabs or handwritten notes. Once the roster is visible, describe the intended set for each member so the planner can distinguish a rough collection of favorites from a team with an actual game plan.
You can begin from a blank board, filter the picker by type or region, or use Random fill to create a starting point. Every slot accepts an ability, held item, four move names, a nature, six exact EV values and a Tera type. Presets fill the six values, while Custom keeps your own spread. Changes are stored locally as you work, so the page can function as a lightweight team notebook rather than a one-time generator.

Readable calculations
The analysis is intentionally transparent. It summarizes information already present in your six slots instead of pretending to predict a win rate or produce a perfect competitive set.
For every attacking type, the planner counts how many selected Pokemon take super-effective, resisted or immune damage based on their native defensive typing. This makes a repeated Ice, Ground, Fairy or other weakness visible at team level rather than card by card.
The coverage panel checks which defending types can be hit super effectively by at least one of your Pokemon's own types. It is a fast roster-level signal. It does not inspect the four move fields, so a listed matchup still depends on the actual moves you choose.
The checklist looks for recognizable move names, abilities and broad base-stat patterns associated with hazards, removal, recovery, pivoting, priority, speed control, weather, status, offense and defensive walls. Treat a checked role as evidence, not proof that the set performs it well.
Optimizer notes suggest an exact offensive or defensive starting spread plus a Nature and possible defensive Tera direction. The six EV inputs enforce the standard 252-per-stat and 510-total limits, but the suggestions do not calculate damage rolls, speed tiers, metagame usage or matchup-specific benchmarks.
Different ways to plan
Build around favorites, starters or a regional theme while checking that the roster is not accidentally exposed to the same common attacking type. The planner works across Generations 1 through 9, so it is also useful for imagining cross-generation teams.
Use the board as a pre-battle roster check. Compare available resistances, identify who can carry recovery or utility, and keep a portable text copy of the intended six. The tool does not know your encounter rules, level caps or fainted-box state.
Sketch the shape of a team before committing to exact spreads. You can see whether the draft contains removal, speed control, priority and both physical and special pressure, then validate move legality and format rules in the battle platform you use.
How the numbers work
For a single-type defender, the planner reads the standard type chart directly. For a dual-type defender, it multiplies the two matchups. That produces familiar outcomes such as 4× weakness, 2× weakness, neutral 1× damage, 0.5× resistance, 0.25× double resistance and 0× immunity. The table then counts team members in the weak, resistant and immune groups for each attacking type.
This calculation uses typing only. Ability-based changes such as Levitate, Flash Fire, Water Absorb or Thick Fat are not applied to the defensive table. Likewise, Terastallization is stored as part of the planned set but does not replace the Pokemon's native defensive typing in the live count. Those limits keep the calculation easy to audit, but they also mean you should read the result as a structural warning rather than a complete battle prediction.
Native STAB coverage follows the opposite direction: it takes the types already present on your selected Pokemon and asks which defending types those attacking types hit super effectively. This is useful for noticing a narrow roster, but it is not the same as move coverage. A Water-type member contributes Water STAB to the overview even before you type a Water move into its set.
Local by default
The planner autosaves to local storage and does not require an account. A Share team action places the current state in the page URL, so anyone with that URL can reconstruct the shared draft. Clear the team or browser site data when you no longer want the local copy.
Move and item fields are intentionally flexible. The page validates the standard 252-per-stat and 510-total EV budget, but it does not verify learnsets, game availability, clauses, species restrictions or tournament-specific rules. Use the exported text as a bridge to a format-aware builder, not as certification that the team is legal.
The best use of this page is simple: make the assumptions in your team visible, find obvious structural gaps early, then test the draft in the game or simulator where it will actually be played.
